With a fresh breath of Autumn air, and the aspiration for leadership, the time for the Camp Wapsie Retreat is here. On October 18th & 19th, CHS will be taking a trip to YMCA Camp Wapsie in Coggon, Iowa for a leadership retreat, where students will stay overnight and engage in activities to enhance their leadership abilities.

“It was really fun because I got to see students from all different social groups work together,” Alex Perez ‘13 said. “I definitely recommend it to everyone.” Perez went as an upperclassman counselor last fall, which is the option available to all upperclassmen, who are chosen mostly via recommendation.

When it comes to underclassmen, there are still plenty of spaces available for students to sign up. While the retreat is free, a voluntary contribution of $20 can be accepted. Sign-up sheets and permission slips are available in the main office.
