On January 6, 2014, the Iowa Department of Education initiated the Iowa School Speed Test to better comprehend the condition of internet access in the Iowa K-12 Schools. This test is available online to anyone, anywhere to serve the purpose of testing Internet speed at any location.

Throughout the month of January, the Department of Education asks that students use this test 10 different times to create an accurate analysis.
