The $45,538,000 plan for the 250,000 square foot new school was approved on August 26th.

Construction will begin in 2017, the school will open in 2019, but it will not be fully completed until 2021. The committee members,architects, and staff considered the design of City High and West High to generate one that was equal among all three schools.

Residents did express concerns at the meeting about the roads surrounding the new high school being unsafe. They proposed to upgrade them before the high school’s completion.
