The Rundown: At the beginning of the season, Coach Connell had one goal for the team: keep getting better.
This focus on improvement was evident at last night’s duels against Waterloo East and Cedar Rapids Xavier. City barreled past both teams, defeating Waterloo East 45-25 and Xavier 55-22.
Xavier and Waterloo East had lineups that evenly compared to City, but the team stayed focused throughout the night and kept up the intensity about both teams.
“I think we wrestled great as a team,” said Nic Jarvis ’16. “We’re really improving and getting ready for the last part of the season.”
