As the regular season draws to a close, the City girls basketball team is looking to gain some momentum prior to the state tournament. A prime opportunity presents itself this Saturday versus West High that could determine seedings for sub-state play. The team looks at the game as a way to measure how far they have progressed through the season.
“I feel this West game is going to be a good test for us, it’s going to be a challenge,” Virginia Johnson 11’ said.
The Little Hawks square off against the 3rd ranked Trojans in a late season test. City is #12 in the state with a 15-5 overall record and is 10-5 in the Mississippi Valley Conference and West is 18-1 overall.
