Adam Nicholson ’15 has been selected as the 2014-2015 Gatorade Athlete of the Year.

“I think it’s really well deserved,” said senior teammate, midfielder Anton Buri, “he’s a great player with a lot of talent, and he performs really well.”

Nicholson plays both sides of the field, as a forward and defender, for the (12-1), State-qualified Little Hawks. He has committed to play at Drake University this fall.

With a career 26 goals and seven assists for City High, Nicholson has been among the highest contributors to the scoresheet.

Nicholson is also a member of the U.S. Youth Soccer Region II Olympic Development Program team, and is a three-time First Team All-Conference selection.
