The ICCSD School Board reached decisions on school start times, the year’s schedule, and redistricting at their meeting last night.

Elementary schools will start at 8:45 a.m. and end at 3:45 p.m. The junior highs and high schools will be in session from 8:00 a.m. to 3:10 p.m. In addition, the district will begin counting the school year in hours, rather than days as it has through this school year. Because of that change, the school year will be 175 days long, instead of 180, and reach a total of 1,080 hours (per state law). The elementary school day has been lengthened by 30 minutes to accommodate this change.
