The newest installment of the Star Wars enterprise is the video game, Star Wars Battlefront.

The game will be available starting November 17th- and if you pre-order it you can play The Battle of Jakku starting December 1st. If not, it will be available to play starting December 8th. The events of the Battle of Jakku predates the upcoming events of the new movie- Star Wars: The Force Awakens. The game itself has a variety of multiplayer options for up to forty players at a time. The game will be available on Play-Station 4, X-Box One, and PC.

Personally, as someone who grew up with the Star Wars franchise, this is amazing. It was the true start of my “nerdiness” and well…it was all down hill from there. Often people have said hopefully this will make us forget the prequels….I may be one of the few who loves the prequels. No matter what side of that argument you are on, there are high expectations for the re-boot of the Star Wars franchise- especially since the last movies, Disney bought the rights to Star Wars.

Admittedly I was nervous with the announcement of the new movies, but with the announcement of the cast, that worry practically melted away. With people from the original cast joining, along with others such as Andy Serkis and Gwendoline Christie, this movie is headed for the greatness of its predecessors. The movie will be released December 18th- and I may or may not be going in costume.
