This weekend the boys and girls cross country teams finished their seasons as they competed at the state meet in Fort Dodge.

After failing to qualify last year the boys team went in ranked 14th in the state and finished 12th overall as a team. The team was paced by Matthew Dodge ’17 who finished 32nd overall with a time of 16:28. He was followed by Russell Martin ’16, Ry Threlkeld-Wiegand ’19, Tom McDowell ’16, and Michael Taylor ’17.

The girls team improved upon their ranking of eighth in the state with the team finishing fourth overall. In the first year girls ran a 5k at the state meet Mary Arch ’17 led the girls with a time of 18:46, good for 9th place overall. Arch was followed by Emily Bywater ’17, Anna Lindower ’19, Molly Hansen ’17, and Bridget Brown ’18.
