The Compton rapper brings us an album that resembles a “post Tupac”. Combining rap, funk, rock, jazz and soul into one album, Kendrick Lamar takes the number one spot for the best albums of 2015.
- DS2- Future
With beats coming from DJ EscoMoe, MetroBoomin, Zaytoven, TM88 and Southside, its hard not to turn up to this album. Future opens up about encountering dead bodies in the ghetto as well as some struggles growing up. This album may not be everybody’s cup of tea, but it certainly deserves of spot in the top 3 albums of the year.

- Ego Death – The Internet
Filling the void left by a distinct lack of Frank Ocean, The Internet’s Ego Death is the best R&B album you didn’t hear this year. The album’s sound is aided by a stellar rhythm section along with the standout vocals of lead singer Syd the Kyd. Songs such as “Special Affair”, “Girl”, and “Just Sayin/I Tried” cement this album as one of the best in R&B and certainly deserving of a place in our top 3.

- Purpose- Justin Bieber
Justin Bieber has been a controversial figure over the years. However, his latest release Purpose shows that the former child star is ready to move on. Bieber’s newest effort is chock full of hits with “Where are ü now”, “What do you mean?”, “Sorry”, and “Love Yourself” being notable standouts. His new edm influenced sound has drawn a new crowd of Beliebers. At this rate, who knows what’s next for Bieber.
- AT.LONG.LAST.A$AP – A$AP Rocky
The poster boy of rap gives us his best piece of work to yet with AT.LONG.LAST.A$AP in 2015. Songs such as L$D and Everyday give us a new taste of A$AP Rocky, yet Rocky fails to disappoint us.
- If You’re Reading This It’s Too Late – Drake
The perfect amount of hype and chill, If You’re Reading This It’s Too Late is one of those albums that you would listen to on a rainy day. A definite winner when compared to Drake and Future’s What A Time To Be Alive. Some of the best tracks include Know Yourself, No Tellin, Star 67, and 6 God.

- Dark Sky Paradise- Big Sean
Big Sean has finally found his way into the rap scene after years and years of promising mixtapes. Although he hasn’t quite found his own lane in rap, he does indeed show off his talents with Blessings and IDFWU, which both did make huge impacts on social media. Dark Sky Paradise has revived Big Sean’s career.

The Weeknd always finds a way to get into everybody’s head with his music. Beauty Behind The Madness takes our number 10 spot as The Weeknd once again opens up about his lust and the drug use. With notable singles such as “The Hills” and “Can’t Feel My Face” the Weeknd is here to stay
