Last night, more than 100 City High students were inducted into the City High Chapter of The National Honors Society. A ceremony was held in Opstad Auditorium at 7:00 p.m. The ceremony began with a performance by the City High String Quartet, which was followed by the keynote speaker, science teacher Kevin Koepnick. After a candle lighting ceremony by four senior members of the National Honors Society, the new members were officially welcomed into the society.

“Coming from someone who had never really pushed themselves academically until high school, to be a part of such an elite scholastic group is really significant,” Addie Bass ‘17 said.

A reception, featuring cream puffs, followed.
