City Girls to Play Ottumwa in Playoffs; Boys to Play Prairie or Ottumwa

The Little Hawks boys and girls basketball teams both have qualified for the playoffs. The 18-3 girls start tomorrow against 10-12 Ottumwa at 7:00 P.M. at City High.
If the girls team wins, it will play either Southeast Polk or Ames on Tuesday the 23rd to make the state tournament.
The boys’ playoffs don’t start until next Friday, when the 12-9 boys will play the winner of the game between Cedar Rapids Prairie and Ottumwa game. If the boys win that game, and West High wins its game, that will set up a City vs. West rematch at the U.S. Cellular Center in Cedar Rapids on Tuesday, March 1, with a trip to the state tournament on the line.
