Nova Meurice and Sarah Smith, web editors 2015-2016

The Little Hawk newsroom was abuzz today after the Online Pacemaker finalists were announced on the National Student Press Association website.

“We’re thrilled,” Nova Meurice ’17, one of the Little Hawk’s web editors, said. “This is an exciting nomination, especially considering how much work we’ve put into the website in recent months and years.”

The NSPA awarded finalist titles to the top 50 high school publications in the country, based on diversity of stories, photography, videos and audio, podcasts, and incorporation of social media.

Co-web editor Sarah Smith ’17, along with Meurice, plans to continue making the website the best it can be in the coming months.

“We’re really excited for the next few months, to see the future of the website,” Smith said. “I’m excited to see the final Online Pacemaker winners.”

On April 15, 2016, the national winners will be announced, and the Little Hawk staff will find out if they’ve won their 15th Pacemaker award.
