The CEFP provides weekly emergency food for residents of the Coralville city limits. This group of volunteers come from from faith based organizations to businesses and beyond. About 180,000 lbs of food has been given to 2,463 Coralville residents in the past year alone.

This Saturday, the Pantry is preparing for their Music for Meals benefit. The event will take place at the Brown Deer Golf Club ballroom and will feature local musicians as the main entertainment. From 6:30 to 9pm, the ballroom will be full of music, desserts, drinks, and a silent auction. The cost of this event is 20 dollars and can be purchased on Eventbrite.com. This event helps not only to raise vital funds for the pantry, but also to raise attention to the problem of food insecurity in town.
