In the final round doubles match of individual 2A regionals, the Little Hawks won every point.
Susanna Gianola ‘16 and Bihotza James-Lejarcegui ‘18, the number one doubles seed of the tournament, beat Innes Hicsasmaz ‘16 and Lucia Wagner ‘17, the number three doubles seed, 6-3/6-4. Gianola/James placed first in the tournament and Hicsasmaz/Wagner placed second. Both teams advance to state on June 2-3.

Isabelle teDuits ‘16 and Amelia Prybil ‘17 competed for individual singles, but neither qualified for state.
The City High women’s tennis team has an opportunity to qualify for team state this Saturday, May 21, at North Scott High in Eldridge.
