This Saturday, August 27, West High Dance Marathon (WHSDM) is hosting a pool party to support and honor former City High student Martin Luna. Luna passed away on Monday, June 6, 2016 due to terminal cancer.

The pool party will be located at the North Liberty Recreation Center from 7:45 to 9:15 pm. All proceeds shall be donated to the Luna family to help pay for medical bills. There is a required donation of $5 at the door, and desserts will be a suggested $1.

“It would be awesome if anyone particularly close to Martin wanted to say a few words,” Bridget McKenna, coordinator of WHSDM, said. “We would like to keep the event uplifting and more along the lines of celebrating his life!”
