Best Buddies sent out invitations inspired by the Hogwarts letters from Harry Potter, complete with a wax stamp. The letters informed a select number of students that they had been chosen to be a peer buddy and served as an invitation to the annual Matching Party on Wednesday, September 21st from 6-8pm. The Matching Party is a way for peer buddies to come and get more acquainted, fill out interest surveys, and find what buddy they best match up with.

“I have a cousin who has Down’s Syndrome, and I know he didn’t have a lot of friends in high school so I just want to be there for the people who have mental disabilities, someone they can always trust and go to if they have any problems” said Miles Morrow ‘18 when asked what Best Buddies meant to him.

Best Buddies will hold numerous events throughout the school year to build and celebrate the special friendships the program creates.
