As the second trimester midterm approaches, so do the parent/teacher conferences. The conferences allow teachers to discuss a student’s academic performance in the classroom with their parents.

“For parents, it’s an outlet to hear more about how your kids are spending the majorities of their days,” Assistant Principal Scott Jespersen said. “For teachers and staff, it allows us an outlet to give feedback.”

Conferences will be held on Wednesday, January 18 from 4:30 to 8:00 p.m.

“You can make sure the students’ performance and needs for improvement are handled with the parents directly,” English teacher Brad Hartwig said. “I think that is the most important thing — the one-on-one communication. You can, right there, put in a plan.”

Meetings will take place in classrooms on a drop-in basis.
