Students can sign up to participate in crew for Guys and Dolls this spring. Light, sound, props, construction, shift, pit, costume, hair and makeup, and publicity are among the many types of crews needed for the show.

“I’m so excited for this musical,” said Lottie Gidal ‘19. “Guys and Dolls is going to be so much fun to watch. I do spotlight, so I get the privilege of watching the cast rehearse for over a week.”

Crew is often overlooked, but it is a vital part in any production’s success. Not all crews have the same work load, so the amount commitment required is flexible and covers a variety of interests.

“During tech week, some crews stay up to an hour after the cast has left. Construction spends approximately. 10 weeks building the sets, but everyone still has a lot of fun,” said Gidal.
