City Rallies to Defeat #10 Cedar Rapids Washington
The top ranked Little Hawks remained unbeaten after defeating tenth ranked Cedar Rapids Washington 2-1 on Tuesday, April 18th.
The top ranked Little Hawks remained unbeaten after defeating tenth ranked Cedar Rapids Washington 2-1 on Tuesday, April 18th. Jonah Dancer ’18 scored on a penalty kick at the beginning of the second half to tie it, and Rasmus Schlutter ’17 scored again halfway through the second half to give the Little Hawks a 2-1 lead they wouldn’t give up.
“We came back with a lot of energy and intensity in the and in the second half we put more shots on goal that helped us get the win,” Captain Rasmus Schlutter ’17 said.
The Little Hawks play again this Friday in a neutral site game at the University of Iowa Soccer Complex against West High.
