When The Little Hawk journalists went to The Iowa Memorial Building on October 26th, they all were hoping they would home with another story to tell.

After being titled the All Iowa-News Team of the Year, Executive Editor, Victor Kalil ‘18, returns thankful and focused on improving throughout 2017.

“I was so happy and honored when I found out we won.” said Kalil ’18. “It’ll definitely help motivate me throughout the year and I think our staff is working hard together to make sure this year is even better than the last.”

Journalism adviser Jonathan Rogers felt this was a great honor for last year’s editors.

“Last year’s editorial team was a power packed group of all-stars that worked very hard.  Being selected as an All-Iowa News Team or one of the top journalism teams in the state is a well-deserved honor for them.” Jonathan Rogers, Little Hawk adviser, said.
