City Circle’s Little Women Opens Friday

The fourth installment in City Circle Acting Company’s 2017-18 season opens Friday, April 27th. Little Women, a 2.5 hour musical based on Louisa May Alcott’s 1868 novel, stars actors from the Coralville, Iowa City, and Mount Vernon area, as well as students from local high schools, including Lauren Rude ’20 from City High.
Little Women follows the narrative of Jo March (Victoria Vaughn), a passionate young woman who dreams of traveling and publishing her spectacular blood-and-guts stories, all the while navigating the irritating requirements of society to be a “proper” woman and trying to maintain her beloved sisters’ unbreakable bond. The show also features sword fighting, romance, and an army of trolls.
