In an effort to alleviate student stress, City High junior and class president candidate Maya Durham ’19 enlisted the help of a team of therapy dogs.

“I got the idea for it because my whole thing that I want to improve if I win the election is student happiness–making sure that high school isn’t just a place where you learn and gain information but a place where you also gain good life skills and you’re genuinely enjoying yourself while also reaping the benefits,” Durham said. “That’s why my slogan is, ‘A vote for Maya is a vote for you.'”

The dogs will make appearances on the City front lawn all day on Tuesday, May 8 and Friday, May 18 and access to them will be free and open to all students.
