U of Iowa Hosts District Choir Concert at Voxman
Three hundred students joined together in the Voxman music building on October 10th for a district wide high school choir performance in conjunction with one of the choirs from the University of Iowa. City High’s Concert Choir was the last group to perform, showing off their 3 piece set to 4 other high school choirs from West High and Liberty High. The group, conducted by choir director Tyler Hagy, performed three songs including The Boy Who Picked Up His Feet To Fly by Joshua Shank, Go Lovely Rose by Edmund Waller, and Rondes by Folke Rob. To finish of the night, the entire group of high school students joined on stage for a mass performance of Triptych by Tarik O’Regan.
