City High’s annual Winter Formal returns on December 8 from 8 p.m. to 11 p.m. Tickets are $7 if bought in advance and $10 at the door. Tickets will be sold during lunches starting Friday, November 30. Student Senate has been preparing for the dance by organizing decorations, chaperones, and music.

“We have a great dance committee with a lot of committed seniors, which is really nice…They have been working with Ms. Dickson,” Lottie Gidal ’19, senior class president, said. “Earlier in the year, we went down to the closet and cleared out a bunch of decorations and realized that we didn’t need to buy any new ones.” 

Student Senate has hired Brady Vanlo ‘18 to DJ the dance again.

“Brady has been a DJ for us before,” Gidal said. “He’s probably going to play better music than Homecoming.”

Many students plan to attend the dance.  

“I’m pretty excited [for the dance]. I haven’t gone before, but every year it seems like it gets better,” Siobhan Gibbens ‘19 said.
