Multiple opportunities for teens to audition for community theater shows are approaching.  Many productions will be performed in the Coralville-Iowa City area soon as well.

City Circle Acting Company’s annual teen show is holding auditions March 4, 5, and 6. On March 1 the title of the musical will be officially announced, although Disney fans or thespians familiar with recent Broadway seasons may recognize which musical it is by the font on the poster. Auditions are open to anyone currently in grades 6-12. Students should prepare one minute of a song they enjoy singing. A dance audition must be attended, but no dance experience is necessary. Information about auditions for Young Footliter’s next production, Honk! The Musical, are not available yet. However, their latest production, Alice’s Adventure in Wonderland, will hit the stage March 8, 9, and 10. Information about more Young Footliters auditions and productions can be found here.

Regina High School’s production of The Little Mermaid will have four performances this weekend, March 1-3. Ticket information can be found here.

Southeast Junior High School will showcase their school musical, The Wild, Wild, Wildest West, March 7th and 8th at 7:00 PM. Tickets are $5 for adults and $4 for students and can be purchased at the door.
