The club RISE has been meeting all year after school on Tuesdays in the commons, however there is a possibility that this may change. Members of the club are discussing different times to meet that may work for more people. Another change that is being made is working with college students who are part of The Black Leaders Institute at Iowa.

Feda Elbadri ‘21 is a sophomore at City High and has been attending RISE. The goal of RISE is to create a safe space for students to talk about their experiences at City High and in the wider community.

“RISE is a nice group full of like minded individuals who are striving for excellence,” Elbadri ‘21 said.

As of now, RISE will continue to meet on Tuesdays.
