Six different staff members of the City High Little Hawk were awarded 1st place for their stories, designs, editorials, and photos. The staff won over two dozen awards total, including honorable mentions. They were also named an All-Iowa News Team finalist.

Mira Bohannan Kumar ’20 and Eden Knoop ’18 shared a first place award for their staff editorial “In the Red.”

A judge said, “This is an exceptional entry. The topic is near and dear to the audience and the writers did a splendid job of incorporating the observations and insights of knowledgeable people at the school.”
