The Little Hawks celebrated their second victory of the season Thursday night. The team won 123-46 against Waterloo, and is thinking more positively about the meets ahead.

“Everyone was having fun and getting after it,” team captain Mark Krysan ‘20 said. “The new kids were stepping up and doing events they haven’t done before.”

The team captains are Krysan, Joe Keuter ‘20, and Isaac Weigel ‘21, voted on by the team last year.

“We did very well, there was a lot of inter-team racing,” Krysan said. “Both the attitudes and the racing of the team were what we’ve been working toward [as captains].”

While the team lost the first meet of the season at Pleasant Valley, they have since bounced back in the two home meets this week, with a win against Washington on Tuesday as well as the win on Thursday against Waterloo.

“[The meet] felt good but it could’ve been better,” Weigel said. “I think the team is heading in the right direction.”
