Coach Cory Connell and his senior leaders have been working hard this off season to prepare for the 22-23 season. As we get closer to the first dual of the season Connell looked towards his senior leaders to help this young team. 

Connell expects big things from his seniors this year.

“We always talk about leaving the singlet in a better place than you found it” said Connell, Connell continued “It is guys like Zach Fern who need to step up and take it to the next level” 

Zach Fern ’23 the 3 year starter looking to make a name for himself on a team full of big names like Ben Kueter ’23 and Gabe Arnold ’23. 

Gabe Arnold is excited about the season at his new school.

“I am really looking forward to the season” Arnold said “Getting better day by day brick by brick”.  

Ben Kueter discussed his goals for this season 

“Obviously win my fourth state title but also get a team title,” Ben the undefeated 3 time champ is looking to be a more vocal leader on and off the mat. 

These seniors are prepared to take on the season and are ready to take on Waterloo West and get straight into the Dan Gable Donnybrook right after that. The seniors will be taking charge this week and are ready to take on the up and coming competition.
