In this week’s post, I go over a game I played in the Iowa Grades Championships back in November. I was doing very well in the tournament and if I were to win or draw with black against someone who was of similar rating to me, I would clinch the 11th grade section of the tournament. The game was out of the London System and I was knocked out of my normal flow when I hung a bishop on the 6th move. Fortunately, he missed it and I was able to summon up a massive defensive effort and hold the draw.
