With show choir competitions having come to an end and the recent warm weather, City High’s Spring Show is the last opportunity to see the award-winning performances by 4th Avenue Jazz Company and Charisma.
This year, the Spring Show is to be hosted by seniors and members of 4th Ave. Grace Kirschling and Norah Mettemeyer ‘24.
“Norah Mettemeyer and I will be hosting the show March 3 at 2:00 PM and 6:00 PM. I’m really excited about hosting, I’ve always had this like little dream of me getting to do the Spring Show and I’m just really excited that I actually get to do it. And with Norah especially, I think it’s gonna be a lot of fun,” Kirschling said.
In addition to both show choirs performing, the Spring Show will have a variety of other acts.
“We have a ton of awesome performances, ranging from special acts to miming! There is gonna be singing and some really great music, with Charisma and 4th Ave. performing as well,” Kirschling said.
Combo Director Edward Kenyon ‘24 is excited about the show, and confirms that the combo band is ready for it.
“We rehearse almost every week. We’ve done some rehearsals outside of the normal ones, and I think that we’re prepared musically. I think it’s just like preparing for it to be the last show that we do,” Kenyon said.
Kenyon is looking forward to his last performance as Combo Director.
“It’s gonna be a lot of fun – great music, great special acts, and you get to see the baby pictures of all the seniors,” Kenyon said. “The senior escorts are also going to be exciting, I think that’s what I’m most looking forward to as Combo Director.”
