The undefeated (2-0) City High Men’s Soccer team is looking to extend their winning streak in a series of back-to-back games this week. The Little Hawks will first face off against Dubuque Senior (3-5) on Wednesday, April 17th. The game will kick off at 5:35 PM. City High will seek revenge after losing to the Rams in overtime last year.
“We’ll have to capitalize on our chances so we don’t give them a chance like we did last year,” said Lucas Riley ‘25.
The Little Hawks will immediately face off against rivals Liberty High (1-3) one day later, on Thursday, April 18th. Although Liberty may be City High’s biggest test yet, the team is confident they will prevail.
“There’s no excuse not to win on Thursday, they have a couple of good players but as long as we play as a team we’ll find success,” said Team Captain Jackson Nichols-Lindsey ‘25.
The Little Hawks currently have an 11-0 goal differential through their first two games. They will also face North Scott this Saturday, April 20th.
