This past Saturday, November 16th, the City High Girls Swim team competed at the annual state tournament in Marshalltown. City qualified with 5 events such as the 200 Medley Relay, 50 Free, 100 Free, 200 Free Relay and the 400 Free Relay. Grace Hoeper ’25, Indiana commit, won both the 50 free and 100 free for City and set a new school record at 49.94 seconds for the 100 free. The 200 Free relay team also placed 6th overall, and the 400 Free relay were only 0.05 seconds from breaking their school record of 3:39:97, which they happened to break the weekend before. Overall, City High placed 9th and had a lot of good turnouts.

The past weekend, City High finished top 10 at girls swim state, with 2 gold medals and a 6th place win
