Girls Track wins Clinton Relays
On Tuesday April 13th, the city High girls track team gave everything they had to try to qualify for the Drake Relays. It was just another hot afternoon at the Clinton relays, but a great day for season bests and Personal records. Ten Girls had seasons best and eleven finished with personal records. The Team Finished first overall proving that in any weather they perform well. Emily Fagan and Jill Stevenson preformed well in the 1500 and both secured spots in the 1500 at Drake Relays. Virginia Johnson jumped a season’s best of 5’3” which will likely qualify her for Drake. The Little Hawks will train hard for a week and then compete again Thursday-Saturday at the Drake Relays. Clinton Relays was just another step on the way to the podium at state.
