On Wednesday afternoon, the Iowa City Area was hit with strong storms and large amounts of rain. Several areas were affected by flash flooding. The ICCSD has sent out a message concerning the flood.
“Greetings from the Iowa City Community School District. Due to localized flooding please take extra care picking up children from school this afternoon. For those who ride the bus. Please note the buses could potentially be delayed, schools will dismiss set the standard dismissal time. We will continue to monitor the situation and communicate with local municipalities. Thank you.”
