City High has yet another student nominated for Press-Citizen Athlete of the Week—this time, it’s junior Rachel Haack.
Haack competes in discus and shot put for the Little Hawks and earned her nomination by placing second in shot put at the Hilltop Co-Ed Invite with an impressive throw of 40 feet, 5 inches.
She’s up against other standout athletes from the Iowa City area who are also being recognized for their achievements in track and field. Voting is on the Press-Citizen website. Voting ends at 8 p.m. on Thursday, March 27.
