The Little Hawk

You drop your phone. Your heart stops. “Is my most loved device done for?” You wonder to yourself. As your arm feverishly and quietly stretches downward you begin to fear the worst. You start conceiving a story to tell your friends about why your social life suddenly halted. What will they think of you? Why did you stop sharing every second of your life with the 37 followers of your Instagram? You pause your downward motion and decide to tweet your dilemma. Oh wait. Your phone is on the ground. The tears begin to flow as you notice the spiderwebs encompassing your screen. You begin to curl in a ball at the thought of the recent travesty. Everything stops. You realize that the true crime in the world is the Little Hawk — Maya Durham’s and her workers’ newspaper. Enjoy.
